Untitled Still-Life

This work is one of my first oil paintings, a medium that I have recently developed a strong appreciation for. The piece is a still life composed of several objects arranged in front of me. This painting marked an important moment in my artistic development, as it demonstrated my ability to create work that I felt genuinely proud of. Through this process, I gained a deeper understanding of the role of shadows and highlights in achieving realism. I also learned how deliberate color placement and intentional brushstroke techniques can significantly impact the overall effectiveness of a painting. In a relatively short period of time, I was able to strengthen my technical skills and expand my knowledge of these methods, resulting in a piece that motivated me to continue creating and to challenge my perceived limitations as an artist.
