For my capstone project, I designed Galaxy Girls, a doll line inspired by the physical, historical, and mythological aspects of planets. While I originally planned to create ten characters, I focused on fully developing Mars and Neptune. Mars is inspired by Roman mythology, themes of strength and war, the Mars rover, and its red, desert-like landscape. Neptune draws from sea mythology, mystery, and its deep blue, stormy atmosphere. I also designed packaging for Saturn, Mars, and Neptune, creating a cohesive visual system that reflects each planet’s identity. After developing the concepts and visuals, I used Gemini to help bring the characters to life in more physical, visual form, allowing me to better explore how the designs could exist as real dolls. This project helped me combine storytelling, character design, and branding into a more immersive product experience.
