Doll-Line Concept
This project is currently in the planning phase and will serve as my Capstone project for graduation from the University of Texas at Dallas. The project centers on concept development and packaging design for a cohesive line of five planet-themed dolls, with the goal of creating a market-aware and visually unified design system.
The proposed outcome is a collection of five dolls, each inspired by a different planet and paired with custom packaging that reflects its distinct planetary identity while maintaining consistency across the line. The project will involve research into existing doll brands and product lines, with particular attention to branding, visual language, and marketing strategies. Contemporary doll marketing frequently relies on strong thematic cohesion and recognizable visual “hooks” to establish brand identity and consumer appeal. This research will examine how those elements operate within successful multi-doll collections.
Drawing from this research, I will develop original doll and packaging concepts that reinterpret established industry strategies through my own creative lens. A primary objective of the project is to produce designs that appear professional and production-ready, aligning with real-world standards in toy and product design. Ultimately, this capstone will serve both as the culmination of my undergraduate studies and as a foundational portfolio piece for future work in the toy and consumer product design industry.
